A reduction of transparency will increase the speed of the whole OS dramatically

i went system pref , accessibility, have "reduce transparency" checked, whole system went faster, better mavericks.

yosemite lags on late 2013 macbook pro retina 15', when discrete graphic on. , think reason apple didnt on optimizing ui effects.
 

not when using "dark mode" though, menu highlight makes text unreadable unless change appearance graphite, makes menu item selection hard see.
