No sounds with texts or calls

i no longer receiving audible text alerts, nor phone ring. here i've tried/figured out far:
1. not disturb off
2. bluetooth off
3. music plays
4. when text/call received, notification shows on sleep screen expected.
5. when text/call received, phone vibrates expected

steps i've taken:
1. turn ringer off , on via switch on side
2. confirm via settings can hear ring/text preview
2. reset phone (power off , on)
3. restore phone via itunes

troubleshooting steps missing?
 

if go settings > not disturb, tell me of settings it's set in there.

if go settings > notification center > messages, tell me of settings it's set in there. also, make sure "show alerts everyone" checked, , set "repeat alerts" 10 times test.

also, happen 1 person don't receive text alerts, or multiple people? if delete , create new message thread, receive text notifications way?

when restored in itunes, did restore new phone, or did restore backup? ensure restore new phone rule out issues backup.
