Advice Required: Mac Pro or iMac

hi all,

start face issues 2009 mac pro (screen dying) etc, looking @ options moving forward. 1 of options upgrade mac new one.

web designer, developer , graphic designer. dj, make music in ableton etc.

have been using 2009 mac pro that's been heavily upgraded , it's been fantastic machine date. it's still fast enough need for.

upgrade can make use of newer technology thunderbolt etc. question is:

should get:

6 core mac pro, d700, 32gb ram, 1tb ssd, dual displays ~$9000 aud
last me longer, it's huge investment , may more power need?

27" imac, 3.5ghz i7, 32gb ram, geforce 780m, 1tb ssd ~$4600 aud
won't last long, it's half price, , happens generation ahead in cpu design, 4 cores.

i'm sure many people have been faced same conundrum.

wow! current machine, sure don't want upgrade displays , continue using machine. nothing you've listed going of upgrade.

on other hand, can understand itch upgrade

6 core pro 1 tb hd, stick d300s. nothing you're doing requires top of line video card usage. if you're thinking 27" imac enough monitor space, why not used 30" acd $500 , call good.
