Help with iphone please

hi i'm having issue iphone 3gs. housing in pretty bad condition cracked , power button doesn't work @ all. , yesterday got the white screen of death , couldn't fester or restore ive jail broken , didn't want lose jailbreak. anyway suspect connectors broken either tab 1 or tab 3 though found a guy selling iphine 3gs 10 pound doesn't activate because doesn't read sim card or something. wanted know if pulled mother board out of 3gs , put housing , used lcd screen have issues or work fine , apps , photos , jailbreak still intact?i have iphone 5 though use 3gs backup when 5 dies grateful if please
 

in theory if switch motherboards things should work fine.
