My Mac Pro 2008 is getting a little long in the tooth -- what should I upgrade to?

choose?
 

for me, boils down 3 things: nmp has highest possible single-thread performance, lowest possible noise emissions , thunderbolt built-in. @ else cmp if not better. advantages of cmp known: lots of space storage, pcie slots etc. tray-loading dvd-r drives better (yes, still use them burning cds). oh, , money factor. imho nmp way expensive. @ least on here in switzerland.
