No Mail folder in Time Machine backup

hello

had wipe macintosh hd. i'm in process of reinstalling scratch. used time machine backup hd, can't find mail folder in library, users or anywhere else. hidden in way?

2013 macbook air 13"
mavericks 10.9.4
 

that's place exists.

use pop or imap? if latter, emails should still on server (provided didn't set local folders).
