Apple May Shift Next-Generation Chip Production From TSMC to Samsung

apple may shift production of 14-nanometer next-generation chips iphone tsmc samsung, according information compiled reuters.
taiwanese media reports apple partner qualcomm has begun working samsung on new chips , has begun placing orders them.

last week, report indicated tsmc had begun shipping a-series chips apple in q2 2014, ending longstanding exclusivity deal apple had samsung produce smartphone chips. deal, agreed last year, part of apple's bid decrease reliance on samsung ios device components. additionally, tsmc had been mass producing 20-nanometer chips apple , working company on 16-nanometer chips.

however, appears apple turning samsung 14-nanometer variety that rumored a9 processor in next fall's iphone 6s. tsmc chairman morris chang company rebound in 2016 , regain market share, possibly hinting deal apple possible future ios devices.
